I'm Rezwan Ahmed Shurid — a Bangladeshi, a traveler, a storyteller, and someone who has always been curious about how the world works.
My interests have always moved between different worlds. I enjoy technology and the logic behind the systems we build, but I also enjoy roads, rivers, hills, history, people, and the stories that make a place what it is.
By profession, I work in technology and system administration, where much of my day revolves around systems, infrastructure, troubleshooting, and keeping things running. Outside work, I like to travel whenever I get the chance. So far, I've visited 47 of Bangladesh's 64 districts, and every journey has given me something different — a landscape, a conversation, a piece of history, a local dish, or simply a memory worth keeping.
This blog is where I keep some of those experiences and thoughts. I write about places I've visited, Bangladesh's history and society, technology, major projects, science, astronomy, and the things I find interesting along the way.
It's not meant to be a formal travel guide or a personal diary. I see it more as an open space where I can share what I've seen, what I've learned, and sometimes what I've been thinking about.
What Moves Me
- Technology — working with systems, solving problems, and understanding how things work
- Travel — exploring new places and capturing moments before they become memories
- Writing — putting experiences, observations, and ideas into words
- Bangladesh — its people, culture, history, landscapes, food, and the many stories found in everyday life
- Science and the universe — from the world beneath our feet to the planets, stars, and distant reaches of space
Why This Blog Exists
I started this blog because I wanted a place of my own to write and share. My professional life is mostly about technology and systems, while much of my personal interest lies elsewhere — in travel, history, society, nature, science, and the stories of the places and people around me.
This site brings those interests together. Some articles come from places I've visited. Some come from things I've been studying or thinking about. Others simply begin with a question that I wanted to explore.
If you happen to find something here that makes you curious, teaches you something new, reminds you of a place you've been, or makes you see something from a different angle, then the writing has served its purpose.
So, welcome to Nomadic Bangladeshi. Have a look around, follow the stories, and perhaps we'll meet somewhere along the way.
